The chair of the House Ways and Means Committee predicts a tax bill will be passed by the New Year.

During an interview Sunday, Congressman Kevin Brady says both the House and Senate versions of tax reform are pro-growth and he looks forward to the chambers coming together to create one unified piece of legislation.

He adds the goal is to keep businesses and jobs in the country rather than going overseas.

Additionally, Brady says a major priority is tax relief for the middle class which could include a repeal of Obamacare’s harmful mandate.

“The House, as you know, has passed the repeal of the mandate, repeatedly so there’s strong support here in the house for it, said Brady. And look, there’s a case to be made, this is all about eliminating taxes on low and middle income families and the individual mandate does hurt many of those families who can’t afford, who don’t want Obamacare.”

Brady went on to say once a tax bill is passed it’ll be a new era of American prosperity.
