Hellerstedt challenged two provisions of a Texas law requiring doctors who perform abortions to have privileges to admit patients at a nearby hospital and that abortion clinics meet health and safety standards comparable to outpatient surgical centers. These common sense provisions were passed into law in Texas to protect women. |
