U.S. Capitol Office

David W. Davis | Chief of Staff
Bringing a wealth of Capitol Hill and military experience with him, Lt. Col. David Davis (US Army Ret.) joined Team Brady as Chief of Staff in 2016. After a successful career as a Field Artillery and Foreign Area Officer, David continued serving his country by joining U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison’s team. David’s leadership during multiple base realignment rounds increased Texas’ military clout for the 21st century. David has served as a Senior Advisor on the Senate Commerce Committee, Chief of Staff for the Vice Chair of the Republican Conference, and Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for Senator Hutchison -- as well as in the private sector. A graduate of Mercer University and the Korean Army College, David earned a Master’s Degree in World Politics from Catholic University in Washington, DC. A life member of the VFW, David recently served on the Board of the Texas State Society. David's wife, Donna, retired from the U.S. Senate and daughter, Mae, is a graduate from Boston University. 

Ashley Doyle | Director of Scheduling and Operations
Ashley, a native Houstonian, joined Congressman Brady's office in 2021. Prior to that, she worked for the Republican National Committee in the Regional Communications shop, where she served as an on-the-record Trump Victory Spokesperson while cultivating relationships with in-state press. Her previous experience also includes serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Technology Officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as an Operations Associate for FP1 Strategies, a full-service campaign consulting/advertising firm, and interning at the White House in the Office of Political Affairs. Back in the great state of Texas, she began her career working on a highly-contested Texas House campaign in Fort Worth. A proud alumna of The University of Texas at Arlington, she has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English.

Janet Montesi | Director of Communications
Janet joined Congressman Brady’s office as Communications Director in 2021. Prior to that, Janet served as Press Secretary at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during more than 200 federally declared disasters. Janet also has 3 years of communications experience at the White House. She began her career at the Republican National Committee during the 2016 election cycle. Janet is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and is a proud University of Texas alum.

James O’Brien | Legislative Director
James joined Congressman Kevin Brady’s office in 2019 to advise on trade, tax, oversight, and national security issues.  Prior to joining Team Brady, James served as a Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant in Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office. James is a University of Texas graduate, former Bill Archer Fellow, and native Houstonian.

Delayne Smith | Legislative Assistant 
Delayne first joined Team Brady in 2019 as a Staff Assistant after interning for Congressman Brady in Conroe, Texas. As a Legislative Assistant, Delayne advises on Social Security, immigration, telecommunications, and judiciary affairs. Prior to joining Congressman Brady’s Office, Delayne served as an intern for Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14) through the Agricultural and Natural Resources Program at Texas A&M and at the Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation. Born and raised in Texas, Delayne is a proud alum of Texas A&M University where she earned a degree in Agricultural Economics.

Kelsi Wilson | Legislative Aide 
Kelsi joined Congressman Brady's Washington, D.C. office in 2021 after serving as a Policy Assistant at both Hance Scarborough, LLP and Meyers and Associates, LLC. As Congressman Brady's Legislative Aide, she is advising urban, financial, postal and constituent affairs. Kelsi's prior experience includes completing internships with the office of Congressman Brady and serving on Texans for Jodey Arrington in Lubbock. Kelsi serves her community as the Marketing Advisor for the George Washington University’s Chapter of Alpha Phi International Fraternity and is a Youth Program Volunteer at Waterfront Church DC. A proud alumna of Texas Tech University, she has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in History.

Spencer Katterhagen | Research Assistant
Spencer joined Congressman Brady’s Washington, D.C. office in 2021 to serve as his Research Assistant, in addition to advising on financial services, small business, transportation, and infrastructure issues. Prior to joining Congressman Brady’s team, he completed internships with the House Committee on Ways and Means and Congressman Brady’s office in 2019. Raised in The Woodlands, Spencer attended Washington and Lee University where he ran track, was a group head for their student-run endowment investment fund, and graduated with a double B.A. with honors in Politics and Economics.

Cayden Connally | Staff Assistant
Cayden joined Congressman Brady's office in 2021 as his Staff Assistant and to advise on pro-life policy and family values. Originally from Midland, Texas, Cayden attended
the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. While in Austin, Cayden interned with U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10), Texas State Representative Briscoe Cain (R-128), Lilly & Company political consulting firm, and the Texas Public Policy Foundation. After arriving in D.C. as part of the Archer Fellowship Program, Cayden also interned with Congressman Chip (TX-21) before joining Congressman Brady.

Conroe District Office

Brandon Steinmann | District Director
Brandon Steinmann is a Conroe native, graduate of Conroe High School, and the University of Texas at Austin. An experienced government relations executive, Brandon has over 25 years of experience working in both the public and private sector in Texas, including over 10 years of experience working in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Congressmen Joe Barton, Ted Poe, and Alex Mooney.

Janet Qureshi | Director of Casework
Janet has worked for Congressman Brady for more than two decades -- first in his state legislative office and now in his Congressional office. As Director of Case Management, Janet works with veterans and constituents who need assistance with Social Security, Medicare, Immigration and many other areas of federal government. As a former operating room nurse, her background in medicine helps to get to the bottom of medical concerns that our veterans, seniors and constituents may have. Janet is the proud mother of a Texas A&M and South College of Law graduate. Janet is also Team Brady's chef and frequently brings her love of cooking into the office.

Vita Swarers | Deputy Director of Casework
Vita Swarers has worked in Congressman Brady's Orange office since January 2008 after joining Team Brady from a Texas State Representative’s office. Vita works as a caseworker for all TX-08 counties. Vita helps resolve problems with federal agencies on issues relating to veterans benefits, social security, Medicare, immigration, and other federal programs.

Daniel Yguerabide | District Office Manager/District Scheduler
Daniel joined The Office of Congressman Kevin Brady in the summer of 2021. Prior to joining Team Brady, Daniel worked for Texas State Senator Bob Hall (SD-2) during the 87th Legislative Session. His past experiences include Director of Bands for Crawford ISD; Mayor and Councilman for the City of Meridian, Texas; National Delegate to the Republican National Convention (2016, 2020); State Delegate (2012-2020); Campaign Consultant; and an internship with the Republican Party of Texas during his graduate coursework. Daniel received a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and a master's degree in Public Management and Administration with a concentration in State & Local Government from The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University (TAMU). While at TAMU, he served as vice president of Student Services as a member of the Student Government Association’s executive cabinet.

Brian Aldaco | Field Representative
Brian grew up in Willis, Texas and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Before that, Brian was an active participant in politics and government at the local, state, and federal level. Along with interning for multiple City of Huntsville departments, Brian has worked in the Texas Legislature in the offices of Representatives Will Metcalf, Cecil Bell Jr. and Sam Harless. In 2018 he joined the Congressional Leadership Fund as a Field Director in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.
