Jeff Billman | Deputy Chief of Staff 

Jeff joined Congressman Brady’s office in September 2019, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff. Prior to that, Jeff was Deputy Chief of Staff for two other members, including spending more than five years in a variety of roles working for Rep. Peter Roskam (IL-06), who was also a member of the Ways and Means Committee. Jeff was the lead Republican staffer for the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) under Chairman Roskam—a bipartisan, twenty-member Commission that works around the world to promote responsive, effective government by strengthening democratically-elected legislative institutions. He was also a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and a participant in the Aspen Institute’s Bundestag and Congress Staff Exchange Program. Jeff also has a variety of experience in foreign affairs, defense, pro-life, immigration, second amendment, oversight, tax, and healthcare policy. Jeff has a BA and Master’s from the University of Dallas, where he cultivated his interest in history and political philosophy. Jeff’s wife Lauren also works on Capitol Hill, serving as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Carol Miller (WV-03).

Laura Cureton | Director of Scheduling and Operations

Laura joined Congressman Brady's office in 2018 as his Deputy Scheduler before becoming Director of Scheduling and Operations. A Texas native and proud Aggie alum, Laura graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in International Studies. Prior to joining Team Brady she interned in Congressman Bill Flores (TX-17) office through the Texas A&M University’s Public Policy Internship Program.

David W. Davis | Chief of Staff

Bringing a wealth of Capitol Hill and military experience with him, Lt. Col. David Davis (US Army Ret.) joined Team Brady as Chief of Staff in 2016. After a successful career as a Field Artillery and Foreign Area Officer, David continued serving his country by joining U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison’s team. David’s leadership during multiple base realignment rounds increased Texas’ military clout for the 21st century. David has served as a Senior Advisor on the Senate Commerce Committee, Chief of Staff for the Vice Chair of the Republican Conference, and Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for Senator Hutchison -- as well as in the private sector. A graduate of Mercer University and the Korean Army College, David earned a Master’s Degree in World Politics from Catholic University in Washington, DC. A life member of the VFW, David recently served on the Board of the Texas State Society. David's wife, Donna, retired from the U.S. Senate and daughter, Mae, is a graduate from Boston University.

Will Derrick | Staff Assistant

Will joined Congress Brady’s office in 2020 as his Staff Assistant. Originally from the Austin area, Will and his family also spent time in San Jose, CA before he returned to Texas to attend Rice University in Houston. While at Rice, Will interned with Congressman Dan Crenshaw’s (TX-02) district office in Kingwood. After graduating with a degree in Political Science in December of 2019, Will interned in Congressman Crenshaw’s DC office.

Isabelle Gwozdz | Press Secretary

Isabelle joined Congressman Brady’s office in 2018 as Press Secretary. Isabelle graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Political Science and English. Prior hill experience includes interning for Congressman Sam Johnson (TX-03) and a summer internship for Congressman Brady. After working in Public Relations in the private sector, Isabelle returned to Team Brady where she is now a proud honorary Texan.

Preston Howey | Legislative Assistant

Preston first joined Team Brady in the spring of 2018 as Legislative Correspondent. Originally a native of Midland, Texas, Preston is a proud alum of Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. Prior to that, Preston interned for Congressman Will Hurd (TX­–23) through Texas A&M University’s Public Policy Internship Program.

Camille Lepire | Policy Advisor

Camille Lepire joined the office of Congressman Kevin Brady to advise on Social Security, health, and labor policy. Prior to that, Camille served as Legislative Assistant to another Member of Congress on the Ways and Means Committee for several years, where she focused on policies to enable innovation in healthcare. Camille graduated high school in Kingwood, Texas and is a proud alumnus of Texas A&M University where she studied business and economics.

Mallory Lyon | Director of District Operations

Mallory joined Congressman Brady’s office in 2019 as Director of District Operations. A Mississippi native but Texan at heart - Mallory graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science and legal studies. Prior to joining Team Brady, she worked a successful campaign for Congressman Dan Crenshaw, and interned for Georgetown Law CLE in Washington DC through the Fund for American Studies. When she is not continuously writing, reading, and studying, Mallory enjoys time outside the office surrounded by nature or traveling to new places.

Thomas Mardik | Deputy District Director

Thomas joined Congressman Kevin Brady’s district team in 2018. Thomas, a graduate from Ball State Indiana, worked for the Harris County Republican Party before joining Team Brady. He continues to serve our country as a Signal Officer in the Army National Guard, and has previously been in service for six years and counting.

Keli Molina | Caseworker

Keli joined Team Brady in Sept 2019 as an Office Assistant and Case Worker in the Huntsville District Office. She has lived in Huntsville since 2006 and worked for the Hospital District for 8 years. Keli has 21 years of office manager experience as well. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 39 years and is the proud mother of two children, one daughter and one son, and has five awesome grandchildren. Keli and her family are Christians and attend The Church of Christ.

James O’Brien | Legislative Assistant

James joined Congressman Kevin Brady’s office in 2019 to advise on trade and national security matters.  Prior to joining Team Brady, James served as a Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office.  James is a University of Texas grad, former Bill Archer Fellow, and native Houstonian.

Janet Qureshi | Director of Case Management

Janet has worked for Congressman Brady for more than two decades -- first in his state legislative office and now in his Congressional office. As Director of Case Management, Janet works with veterans and constituents who need assistance with Social Security, Medicare, Immigration and many other areas of federal government. As a former operating room nurse, her background in medicine helps to get to the bottom of medical concerns that our veterans, seniors and constituents may have. Janet is the proud mother of a Texas A&M and South College of Law graduate. Janet is also Team Brady's chef and frequently brings her love of cooking into the office.

Delayne Smith | Legislative Correspondent 

Delayne first joined Team Brady in 2019 as a Staff Assistant after interning for Congressman Brady in Conroe, Texas. Prior to joining Congressman Brady’s Office, Delayne served as an intern for Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14) through the Agricultural and Natural Resources Program at Texas A&M and at the Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation. Born and raised in Texas, Delayne is a proud alum of Texas A&M University where she earned a degree in Agricultural Economics.

Vita Swarers | Deputy Director of Casework

Vita Swarers has worked in Congressman Brady's Orange office since January 2008 after joining Team Brady from a Texas State Representative’s office. Vita works as a caseworker for Houston, Leon, Madison San Jacinto, Walker and Trinity counties. Vita helps resolve problems with federal agencies on issues relating to veterans benefits, social security, Medicare, immigration, and other federal programs.

Heather Washburn | District Director

Heather is a Montgomery County native and proud Aggie alum who brings a wealth of political knowledge and over a decade of teaching experience to Team Brady. She comes from Knox Jr. High where she taught science and served as head coach for a variety of sports teams. In her early career, Heather served as Senator Todd Staples’ District Coordinator and spent time managing campaigns for community leaders at both a local and state level. Her established involvement in the community and strong public service background make her a great fit for the Eighth Congressional District.
